aizawa_office_format_A2This film follows my travel across the Eurasian continent. While living in the United States, for the first time in my life people began calling me Asian. I recall that I was not born an Asian, but rather became Asian. At that time, I encountered German artist Joseph Beuys and Korean artist Nam June Paik’s life-long artistic collaboration called “EURASIA”. With this project, they aimed to unite a separated Europe and Asia into the single continental culture of EURASIA. To realize their dream of EURASIA, I journeyed alone, crossing 13 countries, from Berlin, Germany to my hometown in Shizuoka, Japan.
